Initial Franchise fee: £1,000 You will be your own boss and work hours that suit YOU, You decide whether you work full-time or part-time You decide whether to produce your issue monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly You work from home, so there are no overheads No need to fill your garage/spare room with expensive stock and since all advertisers pay in full prior to each issue going to print, there are no cash flow problems to worry about. If you follow our existing pricing structure, you should expect net earnings of between £2,000 and £3,000 per issue (depending on any introductory and/or renewal discounts you may offer your advertisers) see examples below So after producing your first issue you will have recouped your initial franchise fee! Most of our Promoters have on average 18-22 adverts in each issue. The 'standard' advert, 1/8th page, sells for £160, 1/4 page for £320 and 1/2 page for £640, so if you sell all the ad space in your issue at 'full' price, your gross income will be £5,120. From this you will have the following deductions payable to Windmill Graphic Design: Artwork £400, Management fee £100, Printing £900. (i.e. £1,400) After these deductions you are left with £3,720. The final cost you have to take into account is delivery to 20,000 local households. Delivery charges vary drastically, but as a guide expect to pay around £30 - £40 per 1000. If you take as an average £35/1000 (this is what we pay our distribution team) The cost for delivery will be £700. Deduct this from £3,720 and you will have net earnings of £3,020. Remember this example is based on every advert being sold at our full guideline price, if you decide to offer any of your advertisers a discount, this will reduce your net earnings, as your total costs (£2,100) will remain the same. You do not need to worry about the art content nor the printing as we take care of that as part of the franchise agreement, and all adverts are 'proofed' to you to get your clients approval prior to going to print. All you need to do is sell adverts to your local businesses, shops, tradesmen etc. You do not need to be a highly skilled salesperson, just someone who is determined, enthusiastic and self motivated and wants to build a successful business.
